Personal History: I am born and raised in the Vancouver area and absolutely love my home and community here. Since as early as I can remember I have loved music and took to singing as a young girl. Along with each and every memory in my life, I have songs that help me connect to these unforgettable moments in time. I am an avid traveller and have been to far off lands such as Portugal, Italy, Australia, Thailand, and Japan, just to name a few.

Professional History: After high-school I studied basic musicianship at Douglas College and followed up with a diploma in musical theater at Capilano University. I began my work with elders as a volunteer at a local community center, organizing and implementing activities for a weekly drop-in group. It was here that I realized my passion for connecting with elders; learning, laughing and growing together all along the way. As I learned of the field of music therapy I embarked on a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, also at Capilano University. I have worked with a variety of populations including geriatrics, teenagers with disabilities, and adults with mental health concerns. I completed my training as an intern with elderly individuals including those experiencing advanced Alzheimer’s disease.

Work Philosophy:  I have a humanistic and person-centered approach to music therapy. Music is a means of connecting us to ourselves and others and I seek to facilitate this experience for clients by meeting them where they are at in the moment with compassion and kindness.

Personal Life Philosophy: Be the change you wish to see in the world; every drop in the ocean holds value and importance.
