Personal History: Jillian has been told she was singing before she could walk. While a large part of her youth was focused on playing competitive soccer and basketball, music has always been her first love. Growing up in the Fraser Valley, she took piano lessons at a young age and eventually taught herself how to play guitar in high school. She has been an active musician in various churches since the age of 15 and has contributed background vocals to a handful of songs written by other musician friends over the years.

Professional History: Jillian completed a Diploma in Music with a voice concentration in 2014 at Capilano University. She then obtained a Bachelor of Music Therapy, also at Capilano University in 2017, with an internship focusing on Palliative Care at Vancouver General Hospital, and Dementia care in Long-Term Care facilities in the Fraser Valley. Jillian has also worked as a Worship Music Director in a church setting for 3.5 years.

Work Philosophy: She approaches her work as a Music Therapist through a holistic and client-centred framework. Working out of a deep-rooted belief in the intrinsic value of every human being, Jillian aims to meet each client where they’re at.

Personal Life Philosophy: A little bit of patience and kindness can go a long way.
