Personal History: I grew up as part of a musical and outdoorsy family in Saskatchewan. Music has always had a significant role in my life – whether it was playing music for enjoyment with friends and family, many music lessons, spending countless hours in rehearsals and practices, or time on stage performing. I love music, and I especially love sharing it with others! Whenever I get the chance I’m also outdoors in as much wilderness as possible – especially if it involves climbing, hiking, or trail running.

Professional History: Music has been in my life – whether it was private lessons in piano or viola, as a member of various orchestral and choral groups, or participating in various festivals, competitions, and music schools. I pursued music further, completing a performance degree at the University of Saskatchewan, finding opportunities to learn and grow as a musician in as many collaborative endeavours as possible. A passion for working with people and sharing meaningful music led me to Music Therapy. I graduated and was certified as a Music Therapist in 2015 and have worked primarily with seniors and in mental health.

Work Philosophy: My approach to my music therapy work is humanistic, with a focus on the whole individual. I love music, and I believe it can be a powerful tool. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment, allowing freedom and flexibility for expression and exploration, while offering the structure and tools for change and growth.

Personal Life Philosophy: We only get one life to live. I believe in taking on each day with courage, vulnerability, and honesty. It’s the connections we share while on the journey that can make all the difference.
